Elena Zabrodina Elena Zabrodina is a leading singer of the Saint Petersburg Theatre of Musical Comedy and she is an Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.

Elena Zabrodina was born in Novoaltaisk. In 1987, she graduated from the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov Leningrad State Musical School's Department of Musical Comedy Actors under V. Vorobiev). While still a student, Elena was invited to the Leningrad Theatre of Musical Comedy, where she debuted as Nils in V. Shainsky children's operetta The Wonderful Adventures of Nils and soon after became one of the leading actresses of the theatre.

During her work at this theatre, the actress has sung more than 20 primary arias in classic operettas and musical comedies. Among them are the arias of Lili and Denisa (The Age of Love and Mam'zelle Nitouche by F. Herve), Stasi, Mabel and Mariette (The Csardas Princess [or The Gipsy Princess]), The Circus Princess (or Mister X), The Bayadere (or The Yankee Princess) by Emmerich Kalman), Nastya (Say a Word about the Poor Hussar by A. Today in her repertoire are the following arias: Madeleine (Oh, bon ami! by V. Lebedev), alentina (The Merry Widow by F. Lehar), Simona and Dobruja (The Bayadere and The Duchess of Chicago by Emmerich Kalman), Theresa Hubner (Spring Parade by R. Stolz), Juliette (Parisian Life by J.Offenbach).

Elena Zabrodina works not only at the theatre, but also performs at different concerts and programmes in modern stage romance. She has performed the works of wonderful composers such as Andrey Petrov, Isaak Schwarz, and Victor Lebedev. She worked for many years with the famous St. Petersburg pianist Mikhail Aptekman, who wrote inimitable arrangements of songs and romances especially for Elena Zabrodina.

In 1996, E.A. Zabrodina was awarded an honorary title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation.
